Arthur Masuaku’s gung-ho spirit represents the mentality Manuel Pellegrini wants this West Ham side to have. The 24-year-old has always been exciting going forward, but defensively he often leaves much to be desired despite lining up at left-back for the Irons’ first three Premier League games of the season – which have seen them concede nine goals.

Following Aaron Cresswell’s performance against Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup, 82% of West Ham supporters voted to axe the Frenchman from Pellegrini’s Premier League starting XI and bring the England international into the fold instead.
