At half-time, Jose Mourinho would’ve been a very happy boy having seen attacking midfielder Oscar give his side a 1-0 lead over Harry Redknapp’s Queens Park Rangers.
The scoreline was no surprise for us neutrals with many predicting a comfortable win for the table-toppers. However, given that the Blues can call upon the likes of Eden Hazard, Willian and Cesc Fabregas – as well as the Brazilian goalscorer – I’m sure we all expected it to have been a 45 minutes of creativity, flair and attractive football from Jose Mourinho’s side.
That doesn’t appear to be the case, though, with Chelsea registering 54 fouls compared to their west London rivals’ one! Twitter will tell you it was a computer malfunction, however, with a squad that possesses the physical forces of Diego Costa, Didier Drogba, Branislav Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic – among others – that number may well be closer to the truth than we think!
