REVEALED! Chelsea manager’s text message to West Ham boss after City win

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho was so happy that West Ham United prevented Manchester City from picking up any points that he decided to send a text message to Sam Allardyce in order to congratulate him as well as thank him for the win.

The 2-1 victory in favour of the Hammers over City meant the Mourinho’s side could have extended their lead to six points should they have beaten Manchester United, a feat that wasn’t successful as both sides rescued a point each.

Allardyce revealed the message sent by the Blues manager after he picked up a vital victory over the current Premier League champions.

“Jose has just texted me to say “Well done big man”,” he said.

“This shows how important it was for him, never mind for us.

“He goes to Manchester United knowing his team will go and perform at their best and if they win it makes the gap even bigger.

“The result wasn’t for him. It was for us and everyone at West Ham. It will benefit him if they go and get a result at Manchester United.”
