Has Dele Alli fallen for his own hype? Struggling for form after changing agents, it's certainly felt that way at times this season. That's perhaps why Mauricio Pochettino decided to leave out the England international on Wednesday night, when Tottenham Hotspur recorded a relatively routine 2-0 victory over Brighton.

The north Londoners now face the biggest test of their domestic season thus far in the form of an away trip to Manchester City, a ground where Pep Guardiola's side have averaged 3.5 goals per match this season and already beaten Arsenal and Liverpool.

Accordingly, Tottenham can't afford any passengers in Saturday's 5.30pm kickoff so we asked Spurs fans earlier this week whether Alli should be brought back into the starting XI for the Etihad Stadium visit. And our poll revealed that Lilywhites followers are relatively divided on the issue; while 58% want to see the youngster start, a significant 42% don't.
