Revealed: The three fringe players Everton fans want to start vs Liverpool

While Sam Allardyce insists he’ll take his strongest side possible to Anfield, it seems almost inevitable Everton will make some changes to the starting XI for their FA Cup tie with local rivals Liverpool this evening. The Toffees have just marauded through a hectic Christmas schedule and after taking the managerial reins at the end of November, Everton’s new gaffer will be keen to give opportunities to those who haven’t received much game-time this season.

Accordingly, we asked Everton fans earlier this week to vote for which fringe players they’d like to see start against Liverpool in the 7.55pm kickoff and there were three clear winners of our poll.

Nobody received more upvotes than 2o-year-old winger Ademola Lookman, who has made just one Premier League start so far this season, but he was closely followed by fellow wide man Yannick Bolasie and midfielder James McCarthy – who have both recently returned to action from injury layoffs.

So Everton fans, how would you line up Allardyce’s side this evening? Let us know by commenting below…
