Manchester United pulled off a huge win to hold onto second place in the Premier League table on Saturday, beating bitter rivals Liverpool in a fiercely competitive instalment of the Northwest derby. Jose Mourinho's side scored twice within the first 25 minutes and then switched their attentions to an excellent defensive performance - the Reds only managing to find the net through an Eric Bailly own goal.

After the 2-1 win at Old Trafford, we asked United fans to give individual performance ratings for each player who featured against Liverpool, and our poll has revealed the three Red Devils stars who impressed supporters most...

Romelu Lukaku - 7.6/10: The Belgian striker couldn't find the net himself but played a key role in both goals, his two knockdowns creating chaos amongst Liverpool's backline and the first being a direct assist for Marcus Rashford. Provided a clear focal point in attack but only took one shot at goal in the entire match, which was off target.

Ashley Young - 7.8/10: The converted winger has taken to the left-back role with surprising ease this season and produced his best defensive performance yet on Saturday against Mohamed Salah. Barring one suspect challenge inside the box, he contained the Egyptian international for the whole ninety minutes and finished up with the most tackles of any player for either side.

Marcus Rashford - 8.4/10: Hardly a surprise that the England international ranked top of our poll, having bagged a game-winning brace in an explosive return to Manchester United's starting XI. Ran riot against right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold, who he twisted inside-out for the first goal, and the jeers directed at Mourinho for subbing off Rashford in the 69th minute illustrated how impressive his performance was on Saturday.
