Serie A side fearful of Arsenal and Liverpool interest

Jorginho (Verona)Verona manager Andrea Mandorlini has confessed that his side may be unable to keep hold of Liverpool and Arsenal target Jorginho beyond January.

The Premier League pair are both believed to be tracking the Brazilian-born midfielder after his impressive start to the Serie A season.

The 21-year-old has been a key member of the newly promoted side’s foray into the top tier, and has helped them move into a respectable fourth position after eight games.

Jorginho’s fine form has attracted the attention of a number of top sides, including Arsenal and Liverpool, leading to rumours of winter bids.

With Verona’s stature, Mandorlini is aware that his side face a fight o keep hold of the talented youngster.

“I know, only too well, that it will be hard to keep the likes of Jorginho,” he told talkSPORT.

“But behind them we are already allowing others to grow and mature. We are making use of those youngsters who are given little space but who will have an important future for this club.”

Arsenal are rumoured to have spoken to Jorginho’s representatives, while Liverpool are also watching the situation.
