Serie A starlet excited by Arsenal and Chelsea interest

Jorginho (Verona)Verona midfielder Jorginho has revealed that both Arsenal and Chelsea are keen on his signature and says that he is hopeful that he can prove he is good enough for a move.

The Brazilian-born Italy U-21 international has quickly emerged as one of European football’s top young talents after a fine start to the season with the newly promoted sides.

Jorginho has been a key part of the club’s rise to an impressive fourth position after eight games, and capped his fine start to the campaign with two goals during his side’s weekend win over Parma.

The 21-year-old confirmed that representatives of both Arsenal and Chelsea were in attendance and says that he is optimistic that he can continue to prove his abilities in order to secure a big move:

“In the match against Parma there were scouts from teams like Arsenal and Chelsea,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.

“Maybe if I keep playing well I can show exactly what I’m worth.”

Arsenal are rumoured to have held discussions with Jorginho’s representatives, while Chelsea are currently monitoring the situation.

Liverpool are also thought to be keen on the youngster, who is also attracting interest from top Serie A sides.
