Norwegian side Sarpsborg 08 have confirmed that the club have received a ‘serious offer’ for 15-year-old goalkeeper Kjetil Haug from a Premier League side, but have yet to identify who, reports the Daily Star.
Haug, who has been labelled as the new Peter Schmeichel recently had a trial with Manchester United, but has also been linked with Arsenal, Manchester City and Everton in recent months, and despite being a United supporter, the 15-year-old has already stated that he doesn’t mind which club he joins.
Late last night, Club representative Bjoerge Aaiestad told Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad: “We have got a serious offer for Kjetil and we have been informed that another offer will come from another club.
“What we would like to do is to enter into serious negotiations regarding a transfer of Kjetil.
“Due to respect for the clubs, we do not want to comment on names or whether it is a club Kjetil has visited.”
