It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Dean Henderson, as the goalkeeper hasn’t spent long away from the headlines over the past fortnight.

He dropped an absolute clanger against Liverpool, which cost Sheffield United a point against Jurgen Klopp’s side, before bouncing back to put on a fantastic performance against Watford, where he kept a clean sheet and made a spectacular one on one save.
Now he’s been called up to the England squad for the first time ever, and he took to Twitter to share his feelings after getting the nod from Gareth Southgate.

Henderson made it very clear that he was buzzing to have earned a call-up, as he twice mentioned that it was his dream.
You have to say that it’s a well-deserved call-up for the Blades keeper too – he’s kept the joint-highest number of clean sheets in the Premier League this term.
It remains to be seen whether or not he will be handed his first cap for the Three Lions in this international break though, as England have two more experienced stoppers in the squad with Nick Pope and Jordan Pickford.
