Andy Carroll

For the first time in weeks, Carroll showed the type of form which may just get him a spot in Hodgson’s squad. He caused problems for Tottenham’s defence all afternoon, and was involved in every good piece of play for West Ham. But for an inspired Hugo Lloris, Carroll may have got on the scoresheet. He won aerial duels, held the ball up well, and panicked the Spurs back line all afternoon. Hodgson knows what he’s capable of, but he’s in a battle with Lambert that, currently, he is lagging behind in.
Final verdict – missed his flight
