Southampton are monitoring Fenerbahce winger Miroslav Stoch, and may make a summer move for the Slovakian international, according to reports from The Echo.
The one time Chelsea man has fallen out of favour with the Turkish giants, after a dispute with their former manager turned sour.
As a result, he is keen to secure a move in the coming months, which has alerted Saints coach Mauricio Pochettino.
Fener are also keen on Jose Fonte and could pursue a swap deal, which may tempt the south coast club following their signing of fellow centre-back Dejan Lovren.
Stoch gained a reputation as one of the most exciting wingers in Turkish football following his move from Chelsea in 2010, but only featured on 12 occasions last season.
The 23-year-old progressed through the ranks at Stamford Bridge, after being spotted as a youth player.
However, a lack of first-team opportunities saw him loaned to FC Twente, before moving to Fener on a permanent basis for around £5m.
Pochettino is said to be keen to add more pace and guile to his front-line, and sees Stoch as somebody who can deliver these attributes, while linking up with the club’s current forward thinking players.
It is thought that Fonte could be tempted to move the other way in exchange, after enduring a difficult debut season in the Premier League.
Does Miroslav Stoch deserve another crack at the Premier League?
