What a time to be a Southampton fan.
The Saints looked to be in real trouble going into December – they were 19th at the time – but they have embarked on a terrific run during the last 10 Premier League games. During that spell, they have won six and lost just two, and they now sit 12th in the table.
It’s the dawn of a new decade in the Premier League, but how much do you know about the last 10 years?
Ralph Hasenhuttl deserves plenty of credit for the turnaround. He was under immense pressure, especially after losing 9-0 to Leicester, but he stuck to his guns and has changed the whole feeling at the club.
The latest victory came on Saturday against the Foxes, with the Saints exerting revenge for that embarrassing previous defeat. After the match, Hasenhuttl received plenty of praise from the fans.
He gives everything for the Club. What a manager.

Managers are often the first to bear the brunt of the criticism when things are not going well, so Hasenhuttl deserves all the praise he is currently receiving now that the sun is shining. Southampton still have a 100% record so far this year.
The way he has turned things around has been picked up on as well.
4 months ago, we were pretty much done. We were humbled and utterly embarrassed in our our ground.
We could have sacked Ralph. We could have done a lot of things, but we didn’t. We perservered and we backed our man.
This is what he deserves. What a man. What a team.

Redemption today. Many including myself said that after the 9-0 it was impossible to continue to lead this team, we were wrong.
The performances over the last month have been as good as anything I’ve seen in 30 years. Well done Ralph. 🔴⚪🔴⚪🔴⚪🔴👏

In most cases, Hasenhuttl would surely have been out of the door. But he was given that little bit of extra time, and it has made all the difference.
Now, he and the club can look forward to a brighter future.
In other news, Saints fans react to this man’s comments on Hasenhuttl.
