Southampton travel to Selhurst Park this Tuesday evening to take on a Crystal Palace side who recorded a spirited 2-2 draw against Manchester City last time out.

Ralph Hasenhuttl's men scored two goals of their own in the first half of their most recent outing against Wolves, although they were pegged back after two goals from Raul Jimenez and a strike from Pedro Neto saw Nuno Espirito Santo's men take all three points back to the Midlands.

The Saints may be without Jan Bednarek, who is struggling with an Achilles injury, while Yan Valery is also a potential absentee as he has a viral infection.

Let's take a look at the XI that we think Hasenhuttl should deploy against the south Londoners...

Having played as recently as Saturday, we think Hasenhuttl should make a couple of changes.

We feel that the former RB Leipzig should rest Bednarek, as aside from his Achilles issue, he has started all 23 of the Saints' Premier League games this term and deserves a rest.

In terms of who comes in to replace the Poland international, we've gone for Maya Yoshida over Jannik Vestergaard as the Danish centre-back is believed to be up for sale by Southampton this month, so any potential exit may be affected if he picks up an injury with just days left of the window.

Call yourself a Premier League expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?

Elsewhere, we think Moussa Djenepo should come in for Nathan Redmond, as the Englishman started against Wolves whereas the Malian has began the last two games on the bench - Hasenhuttl should ensure that he keeps his options fresh by rotating where he can.

In attack, Shane Long started and scored against Wolves, but at 32 years of age, the Irishman should not be overused - as a result, the Austrian coach should hand Michael Obafemi a first start since the 2-0 win away to Chelsea, a game in which he scored the opener.
