HYS: Should Southampton move for Elabdellaoui?

Earlier this month, Sdna.GR claimed that Southampton were monitoring Omar Elabdellaoui ahead of a potential move in this month’s transfer window.

The 27-year-old currently turns out for Greek outfit Olympiacos.

A number of clubs are believed to be closely monitoring the full-back, with Celtic also interested in a swoop this month, according to the Daily Record.

Elabdellaoui actually joined Manchester City at the age of 16, but did not make a first-team appearance for the Citizens before leaving in 2013.

The defender has experience of Premier League football, however, having turned out on eight occasions for Hull City during the 2016-17 campaign.

It appears that the 34-time Norway international could be available for around £4m, which would be a bargain in the current market.

With that in mind, we put the question to the Southampton fans – do you want your club to move for Elabdellaoui during this month’s window?
