According the Daily Mirror (Live Transfer blog, 05/08, 16:56), Yannick Bolasie has been told that he has no future at Goodison Park under Marco Silva, and Southampton should swoop before the end of the transfer window on Thursday.

What's the story?

The Mirror (Live Transfer blog, 05/08, 16:56) are reporting that Crystal Palace are keen to re-sign their former winger if they lose Wilfried Zaha to Chelsea or if they miss out on West Ham's Michail Antonio this summer.

Bolasie finally returned from a cruciate ligament injury in December last year to play 16 games in the second half of Everton's season, scoring just one goal.

The Toffees parted with £25m to sign the DR Congo international in the summer of 2016 but new boss Marco Silva has made it clear that Bolasie is not in his plans going forward.

Saints swoop

Southampton have made four signings so far this summer, including winger Mohamed Elyounoussi who joined from Basel in a deal worth £16m. However, they still lack pace going forward with just Shane Long offering the ability to stretch opposition defences.

Bolasie would bring pace and trickery to the South Coast side and still has so much to give to the Premier League. If Mark Hughes could secure a cut-price deal for the unwanted 29-year-old it could prove to be one of the signings of the summer and would add to the already impressive business conducted by Saints.
