Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has revealed that he is still considering the additions of Tonny Vilhena and Filip Djuricic before the window closes, the Daily Star reports.
The Saints boss has decided to reinforce his squad after Jack Cork is set to join Swansea City on a £3million deal while the club are still without Shane Long for another six weeks through injury.
20-year-old Vilnena, who is currently at Feyenoord, has worked under Koeman ahead of his appointment at the Premier League club and is now being lined up for a potential £4m deadline day switch.
In addition to that, the manager is also looking to secure a loan move for Benfica winger Djuric, with Koeman previously confirming an interest in the pair.
“I am interested in Vilhena who is not happy at Feyenoord,” Koeman told the Daily Star.
“He is a good, young, player and that is one of the philosophies of this club. I am interested in Djuricic as well.
“There is a good chance that at least one of the two will join by Monday.”
He earlier revealed ahead of their 1-0 loss to Swansea City that he may complete the signing of at least one additional midfield player in order to keep competition in his young squad high.
