Southampton will tie up the £11m signing of Norwich City winger Nathan Redmond this week, following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, according to the Sun.
The 22-year old is believed to have also been a target for Stoke City and West Bromwich Albion, though has opted for a move to the South Coast.
While he has suffered two relegations with the Canaries, the England under-21 international remains a hot prospect in the country and a talented winger at top tier level.
He will become the Saints’ first signing of the summer, though they have sold Victor Wanyama and remain without a manger following Ronald Koeman’s move to Everton.
Sadio Mane has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool, with the former Birmingham City trainee able to replace him should the Senegalese leave.
Redmond’s ability to boost the club’s homegrown quote is also understood to have been a major factor in his signing.
