Manolo Gabbiadini has played the full 90 minutes in each of Southampton's last two Premier League matches.

The forward scored his first Premier League goal of the season in Southampton’s 1-1 draw with Watford before the international break, and also started and finished the 3-2 defeat at Fulham last time out.

It has been a frustrating campaign for the centre-forward, with Saints boss Mark Hughes seemingly not fancying the Italian despite the team’s struggles.

Gabbiadini does now seem to be getting a run in the XI, although he is currently featuring in a wide position, which is far from his favoured role.

The striker was excellent for Southampton in the second half of the 2016-17 campaign following a January arrival from Napoli, but he managed just five Premier League goals last term.

The 27-year-old is certainly a talent though, and a number of Southampton fans believe that head coach Hughes should be sacked and replaced by a manager who is capable of getting the best out of the Italian.
