Southampton's dismal form in the English Premier League continued on Saturday, this time thrashed 3-0 away to Newcastle United in a relegation battle at St James' Park.

A win against the Magpies would have eased fears of relegation massively and leapfrogged Saints ahead of Rafa Benitez's side, but they were completely outclassed.

Mauricio Pellegrino has inspired his side to just one win in their last 17 league matches, a run that includes seven defeats.

Just one point above the relegation zone with eight games remaining, fans believe the only way to have a chance of survival in the top-flight is to sack the manager.

They've been growing increasingly impatient with the Argentinian for months, but the vast majority have now lost complete faith in him and are pleading with the decision makers at St Mary's to let him go and give their side a fighting chance of staying up.
