Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is a brilliant talent. After all, no-one plays on 25 occasions for Bayern Munich's first team without having something about them.

It was a surprise when Bayern allowed the midfielder to leave in 2016, and perhaps an even bigger surprise that Southampton managed to sign him.

It would be fair to say that the Denmark international struggled for consistency during his first season at St Mary's, but something appears to have clicked in recent months.

Indeed, 6ft 1in ace Hojbjerg ended last season well, and has started the 2018-19 season in impressive fashion.

The 23-year-old was on the scoresheet in Southampton's win at Crystal Palace last weekend, and has now been tipped by the club's fans to be a key man moving forward.

Hojbjerg will soon move past 50 Premier League appearances for Southampton, and will be looking to become a constant in Mark Hughes' midfield as the season develops.
