Southampton fans desperate for Harrison Reed return

Southampton midfielder Harrison Reed is currently on loan at Blackburn Rovers, with the 5ft 9in ace moving to Ewood Park at the end of August.

Reed has been in impressive form for Blackburn this season, and scored his second goal for the Championship club against West Bromwich Albion at the weekend.

It was some strike from the 23-year-old, who has made 30 first-team appearances for Southampton, but is not currently in the plans of head coach Mark Hughes.

Southampton have actually not scored in their last five Premier League matches during a difficult run of form, and it would be fair to say that a number of the club’s supporters are frustrated.

A number of the fans have recently called for Jake Hesketh to return from his loan spell at Burton Albion, and now their attention has switched to Reed.

A talented midfielder, Reed came through the youth system at Southampton, and actually made his first-team debut for the club back in 2013.

The Premier League outfit’s fans are hopeful that they will still see the best of Reed, and a selection of the Twitter reaction to the Englishman’s goal can be seen below:
