Some Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Che Adams' goalless start to the season after the club's official account wrote an article stating why he will come good.

The £15m summer signing from Birmingham is yet to score a goal for the Saints in a competitive fixture, despite an impressive pre-season in which he found the back of the net on three occasions.

The 23-year-old has come close on a number of occasions early on in games, before fading out as the clock ticks down, although there is no doubting that he knows how to stick the ball past the keeper - Adams hit 22 goals in the Championship last season.

One fan below said that that the Englishman is 'awesome', and believes that the goals will come.

Another supporter feels that the 'floodgates are about to open' for the Adams, while another told him to save his first goal for the upcoming Carabao Cup derby against Portsmouth if he wants to become a club legend.

Let's take a look at some more of the Twitter reaction...
