According to Tuttomercatoweb, Southampton have joined the race for Barcelona centre-back Yerry Mina, who is not exactly short of offers this summer.
Mina struggled at Barcelona in the second half of last season, but the defender had an excellent 2018 World Cup for Colombia – scoring three times in four appearances.
The 23-year-old put in a towering performance for his country against England in the round of 16, and certainly left a lasting impression.
A whole host of clubs – including Everton – have been credited with an interest in the central defender, but Southampton are now seemingly also in the race.
Indeed, according to Tuttomercatoweb, the Saints have made an offer worth up to £17.8m.
The Southampton fans have been discussing the potential move on social media, and it would be fair to say that the vast majority want him to arrive at St Mary’s.
That said, there are plenty who feel that their club will find it very difficult to beat a number of clubs to Mina’s signature.

Hardly going to go from a break through season at Barca, playing well in the World Cup to Southampton. Not sure about the buy out, wouldn’t be suprised.

@RonanGalloway he looked very good in the World Cup. We could then play a back 7!
