What a way to open your account for your new club. Having arrived on the south coast for a reported £15m, Moussa Djenepo got his Southampton career under way with a sumptuous goal against Brighton on Saturday.

The 21-year-old showed he was a goal-scorer at former side Standard Liege, registering 11 strikes last season as he helped the club finish third in the Belgian top-flight.

Now, Southampton are laying witness to the Mali international's talents, and his curling effort against Graham Potter's men helped the Saints claim all three points.

After seeing the winger's wonder strike, Saints fans took to Twitter to hail their summer signing.

Many praised the 20-year-old as a "top player" and suggested he should take a bow after seeing his goal.

Indeed, some fans of the south coast club drew comparisons between Djenepo and former Saints star Sadio Mane, and wondered whether they had another superstar attacker on their hands.
