Southampton suffered one of their most damaging defeats of the season on Saturday, destroyed 3-0 away to relegation rivals West Ham United in the English Premier League.

Needing a victory to exit the relegation zone and help avoid the drop, Mark Hughes side were well below the standard required to secure a result, blitzed by three first half goals.

Saints haven't won in the top-flight since 3rd February against rock bottom side West Brom and fans fear that relegation is becoming ever more inevitable.

Fans were frustrated with the performance, particularly in the midfield where Mario Lemina was well off the pace.

Signing from Juventus last summer, there's no doubting he has ability, but supporters felt he was simply not engaged in the match against the Irons.

He was caught in possession in the build up to the first goal of the afternoon and failed to cope up against the likes of Cheikhou Kouyate throughout the 90 minutes.

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance...
