Southampton fans react as Dusan Tadic scores Champions League brace for Ajax

Former Southampton attacker Dusan Tadic continued his brilliant start to his Ajax career with both goals in his side’s 2-0 Champions League win against AEK Athens on Wednesday, and Saints fans were quick to react on Twitter.

The Serbia international left the south coast outfit during the summer following a four-year spell after they narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship, joining the Eredivisie outfit in a reported £10m deal.

The 30-year-old’s latest brace now means that he has netted 13 goals – more than Southampton’s entire team this term – and provided a further nine assists in 24 appearances in all competitions for the Amsterdam-based outfit, and he has even captained them on occasions.

Southampton supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the former St Mary’s hero’s latest display, and while one said “it’s no wonder Les Reed got sacked”, another said “just come back and bring Pelle too”.
