According to Sky Sports, West Ham United are reportedly in talks to bring former Southampton striker Graziano Pelle back to the Premier League, and Saints fans have been quick to have their say on the rumour.
Sky Sports report that the Irons have been in discussions with Chinese Super League club Shandong Luneng over a deal for the 32-year-old, who has scored 12 goals in 18 months in Asia.
The report adds that the Italian centre-forward, who netted 30 goals in all competitions across two seasons for Saints, is earning around £1m every month, and he would need to take a significant pay cut if he was to make a move to the London Stadium before the January transfer window slams shut on Wednesday.
Southampton supporters were quick to have their say on the story via social media, and while one said it “would break my heart seeing Pelle in a West Ham shirt”, another said “they don’t deserve him”.
Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…

Will be gutted if you get him. Start of our decline was Pelle leaving amongst others. Fantastic player. Great link man, superb in the air and a goal threat. It was Osvaldo that lumped Fonte.
