Southampton midfielder Oriol Romeu is confident that the Saints will become 'a great team' once head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl fully settles at the club.

Hasenhuttl took charge of his first match as Southampton boss at the weekend, but could not prevent the team from suffering a 1-0 defeat at Cardiff City.

The reverse in Wales has left Southampton down in 19th position in the Premier League table, and they are without a win in the top flight since the start of September.

6ft ace Romeu is confident that things will change once the new head coach has been given time to implement his methods at the club.

And the Southampton fans are hopeful that will prove to be the case.

It has been a difficult time for Southampton, and it would be a disaster if the club dropped out of the Premier League at the end of this season.
