Southampton fans reminisce over past glories after tweet about 3-1 win vs Chelsea

Some Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to reminisce over the good old days under Ronald Koeman back in 2015, following a tweet from the club’s official account.

The tweet in question showed Graziano Pelle putting the icing on the cake of a 3-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge from back in 2015, after goals from Steven Davis and Sadio Mane cancelled out Willian’s 10th-minute opener.

Impressively, the Saints finished sixth in that 2015/16 season with an exceptional side featuring the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Dusan Tadic, Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama, guided expertly by Koeman at the helm.

It appears that the tweet has put some Southampton fans in a mood to reminisce about their past glories, compared to where they are now.
