Southampton will look to bounce back from their 4-1 defeat to Leicester City and former manager Claude Puel at St Mary's on Wednesday night when they face the Premier League holders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, and Saints fans want to see Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg recalled to the starting line-up.

The Danish midfielder had been largely out of favour under Mauricio Pellegrino in the early stages of the campaign, and he didn't make his first top flight start of the season until the 4-1 win against Everton last month.

The 22-year-old was hugely impressive in that victory and the unfortunate defeat to Manchester City three days later, but he was then dropped to the substitutes' bench for the draw at Bournemouth.

Despite returning to the XI in another draw against Arsenal and once again doing well, Hojbjerg once again found himself on the bench for the disastrous defeat to the Foxes during the week.

Southampton supporters were quick to have their say on the Dane via social media, and while one said he "has to start" against Antonio Conte's men, another added "give him the armband".

Here is just a selection of the Twitter reaction…
