Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the West Ham game this Saturday, Ralph Hasenhuttl revealed some team news.

The former RB Leipzig boss stated that Stuart Armstrong was back in training after suffering with a hamstring issue in recent weeks, while Sofiane Boufal is on a reduced training timetable after sustaining a toe injury.

Hasenhuttl also said that Yan Valery would miss the game against Manuel Pellegrini's men as he continues to recover from a virus, which means that there may be another appearance for someone who the Southampton supporters on Twitter haven't been too fond of recently.

Another start for Cedric

The Portugal international has started eight Premier League games this season, but is not a fan favourite by any means.

Despite a recent, and crucial, win over relegation rivals Norwich, these supporters on Twitter still found the time to criticise Cedric's display.

Following that particular barrage of disapproval, fans on Twitter were also annoyed to see that the former Sporting Lisbon man had made the starting XI against Newcastle in the next outing.

Felipe Anderson could pile more misery on Cedric

It is looking increasingly likely that Cedric will make his ninth Premier League start of the campaign, as Hasenhuttl has no other right-back options aside from him and Valery.

If that does turn out to be the case, one West Ham man could pile even more misery on the 28-year-old.

Felipe Anderson.

The Brazil international is yet to score this season, but has three assists to his name and also boasts healthy attacking numbers in terms of the statistics - he has made 11 appearances on the left flank this term, so he would be facing Cedric directly.

Anderson successfully completes 2.5 dribbles per game, which doesn't bode well for Cedric seeing as the right-back is dribbled past 1.3 times per 90 minutes in the Premier League this season, while also being a regular part of the division's leakiest backline - the Saints have shipped 35 goals in 16 outings.
