Adam Lallana features in this video from Puma showing his skill of making plays by running into space.
The 25-year-old English footballer, currently playing for Southampton is known for his crafty moves as displayed in the Puma. In the short clip he shows his ability to create separation from defenders by pushing off them. From there he shows that in order to get a high percentage of shots off, you need to spin onto your back foot before receiving the ball.
Lallana has always been a talent not to be missed. After coming through the Bournemouth Centre of Excellence, he quickly got noticed and before long was paying for the Southampton Youth Team. From there he played in FA Youth Cup in 2004-05 and 2005-06. He joined the first team squad in July 2006 and has been a mainstay ever since. In 195 appearances with the Saints, he has tallied 39 goals. He is now looking to make the England squad for next summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
In Southampton’s most recent campaign in the Premier League last season, he scored three goals in 25 appearances. He also wore the captain’s armband last season. The club showed their commitment to Lallana by signing him to a new five-year deal in April.
Now coming to the peak of his career and a new contract, Lallana must step up in the upcoming season and proves that his club belongs in the Premier League after a respectable finish in their first season back.
A good performance might earn him a place on the England World Cup team as well.
