Southampton want dramatic late move for Arsenal ace

Southampton are keen to lure Arsenal‘s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain back to the club on loan for the remainder of the season, according to reports from The Sun.

The winger started his career with the Hampshire club, making his debut for the first-team in 2010 at the age of 16 against Huddersfield Town in League One.

His stock rapidly rose, earning him a £12m 2011 switch to Arsenal, where he has since kicked on to become a full England international and a fans’ favourite in north London.

However, his 2015/16 has been underwhelming, with ‘The Ox’ having made 20 Premier League appearances, 13 of which have been from the bench.

And reports claim this has alerted Southampton, who are keen to offer him regular playing time with a half-season loan deal.

A temporary move may appeal to Oxlade-Chamberlain himself with game time ahead of EURO 2016 vital, but Arsenal remain in the Champions League, are among the title favorites and could win a third FA Cup on the spin.
