One Southampton fan decided to ask his fellow supporters via his Twitter account on Tuesday whether they thought Brighton and Hove Albion centre-back Lewis Dunk would be a decent signing for the club if the Seagulls are relegated, and the verdict was clear.

Chris Hughton's men remain bang in trouble following their 1-0 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in the capital on Tuesday night, but Dunk couldn't have done much more to help his team keep a valuable clean sheet.

Following his impressive display at the back, Saints fans were asked whether they thought the Seagulls centre-back would be a good addition for their backline – another that has struggled this term.

Their answers were clear though, with many responding simply by saying "no", while another said "I think we just need to look elsewhere".
