Southampton fans have taken to Twitter to react after Ralph Hasenhuttl confirmed injuries to Kyle Walker-Peters, Sofiane Boufal and Nathan Redmond in his pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's encounter with Aston Villa.

The Saints will be looking to put an end to a recent run of form which has seen them go four games without a win in all competitions, having drawn to Tottenham in the FA Cup before losing to them in the replay, while also succumbing to defeat against Liverpool and Burnley in the Premier League.

January signing Walker-Peters - who will spend the remainder of the campaign at St Mary's on loan from Tottenham - made his debut against Burnley last time out, although he will miss the visit of another claret and blue side with a calf issue.

In Redmond's case, the Englishman is missing with a thigh injury, while Boufal is likely to be out with a heel injury which has kept him out of training all week.

Let's see how the Southampton fans on Twitter reacted to the news...

To kick off the reaction, Stephen Mooney said that he'd "take a point" against the Villans right now after hearing the news - he doesn't sound too optimistic of getting a result.

Caroline then said that it's the "last thing we need at the moment" before adding that Dean Smith's side will be buoyed by Tyrone Mings' return.

Elsewhere, Murray Smith seemed panicked by Hasenhuttl's update.

He said that the wheels are "coming off at the wrong time" and that hopefully the weather will postpone the game.

@camlook1 then sarcastically said that it "keeps getting better" for the south coast club.

Lastly, these two fans both referenced Southampton's transfer window after hearing the news.

Phil mocked the club's decision not to sign more players last month.

Paul then sarcastically jibed that he's "glad we strengthened in the January window" - it's safe to say these supporters aren't very happy with Hasenhuttl's update.
