Watch: Can Southampton’s 80k-a-week forgotten man revive his Saints career?

Remember Fraser Forster? It doesn’t seem that long ago that the 6ft 7in shot-stopper was winning titles with Celtic and challenging Joe Hart for England’s No. 1 jersey.

Now, the man who signed for Southampton in 2014 for £10m (as reported by BBC Sport) has fallen behind Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn in the St. Mary’s pecking order to become the Premier League’s highest-paid third-choice goalkeeper.

Saints have declared that they’re willing to listen to offers (as reported by Sky Sports) but with the forgotten-man out of form, out of confidence and with just one league appearance behind him this season, who would take him?

Failing that, is there any way back for him at the club under Ralph Hasenhüttl?

Dan from The Saints View discusses in the video above.
