Spaniard opens door to Manchester United or Arsenal switch

Barcelona attacker Pedro is open to a move to the Premier League amid growing concerns regarding his first-team role at the Nou Camp, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish international has been one of the Catalan giants’ key men for some time, but has found his role within the La Liga champions’ squad diluted since the arrival of Tata Martino.

Barca have altered their playing style slightly, which has put a greater emphasis on the abilities of Neymar, Lionel Messi and the rejuvenated Alexis Sanchez.

The form of the trio has been keeping Pedro on the bench, which is believed to be a source of concern for the 26-year-old – particularly with the World Cup on the horizon.

Arsenal and Manchester United are believed to have a long-term interest in the winger, and are likely to move if his feelings of discontent worsen ahead of the January transfer window.

Pedro is believed to be attracted to the Premier League and would consider a move away from his homeland if he were forced to leave his boyhood club.

The Barca ace has still managed to net seven goals this term, despite finding himself out of the starting XI on numerous occasions.
