Swansea striker Michu has pleaded with the club to sign Liverpool flop Iago Aspas on loan in January, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Spaniard has endured a tough start to life in the Premier League with the Reds.
He has found first team football hard to come by, having made only seven league appearances so far, and he is yet to score his first goal for the club.
Reports have linked the 26-year-old with a swift Anfield exit in January, and Spanish pal Michu hopes he will complete a temporary switch to South Wales.
“We (the Welsh club’s Spanish players) are hoping he can come here on loan. It would be a pleasure to play with him. Iago has had injuries, but he has quality. He deserves to play in the Premier League,” Michu said.
“He has been unlucky. At Liverpool, they have Luis Suarez and (Daniel) Sturridge, who have scored a lot of goals. Suarez is, along with Diego Costa and others, one of the best strikers in Europe.”
Michael Laudrup attempted to sign the striker in the summer before he completed a £7.2million switch to Anfield from Celta Vigo.
