Chelsea and Spurs could offer Fenerbahce’s Emmanuel Emenike a summer escape route with the player keen to leave Turkey following a racial abuse incident over the weekend, according to reports from The Express.
The Nigerian forward demanded to be substituted after being targeted by his own club’s supporters, which has pushed his relationship with the Istanbul giants to breaking point.
Chelsea and Spurs are believed to be long-term admirers of the powerful striker, and reports claim they could make a move soon.
And they may be successful, with a source close to the player having told AfricanFootball.com that the player is ready to move in:
“Emenike is not happy with what he is going through with the Fenerbahce fans.
“He is preparing his mind to be fit for a possible summer move.
The same source suggested that Premier League is also Emenike’s most likely destination:
“He has lots of options which include teams from Italy, but England looks like his next destination.”
Emenike represented his nation at last summer’s World Cup and has been lauded in the past for his physicality and eye for goal.
