Tottenham Hotspur are looking to take control of their Champions League group this evening with a victory away from home against Bayer Leverkusen, which won’t be an easy feat.
Without star-man Harry Kane and with in-form man Son Heung-Min facing the heat against his former employers, Tottenham will be praying for any sort of fortune or good omen that falls their way- and fortunately we’ve got the perfect one for them.

Tottenham’s only win in their last eight trips to Germany came almost 10 years ago against the very opposition they face tonight, in a match where Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov scored the winner against his former side- something Spurs fans will be hoping Son can replicate this evening.
Spurs have been to Germany once since then, drawing with Werder Bremen in the Champions League group stages in 2010, and prior to their victory over Bayer they lost to FC Kaiserslauten, Bayern Munich (twice) and Eintracht Frankfurt.
It will certainly be a difficult game for Tottenham this evening but with Bayer Leverkusen struggling to find consistency this season, the stage is set for Spurs to boost their chances of advancing to the knock-out stages.
