Both Stoke City and Swansea City fans will be hoping the last two weeks signify a change in their clubs' fortunes.

Stoke are now unbeaten in four games and recently got themselves out of the relegation zone after back-to-back wins against fellow strugglers Sunderland and Hull City.

Swansea recently replaced the outgoing Francesco Guidolin with American Bob Bradley and put in a spirited performance in a 3-2 loss against Arsenal before drawing with Watford.

The Welsh side have slipped into the drop zone but look like they are beginning to regain confidence under their new manager and will be hoping to secure a positive result at the Britannia Stadium and follow Stoke up the table.

Both sides boast players that can be match-winners on their day and there are some potentially fascinating duels all over the park.

With that in mind, here are five key battles which will decide Monday's result...

GYLFI SIGURDSSON VS LEE GRANT

As arguably the Swans greatest attacking threat, we expect Gylfi Sigurdsson to pepper Lee Grant's goal with shots.

He has played as a false-nine under Bob Bradley in previous games, but we believe he will play behind Borja Baston this time around.

That doesn't mean he won't be involved in the attack, however, with the Icelandic's set-price prowess and propensity for long-range shots guaranteeing Grant will be in for a busy afternoon.

RYAN SHAWCROSS VS BORJA BASTON

Ryan Shawcross regaining his form has nicely coincided with Stoke's vastly improved defensive record.

The 29-year-old is capable of handling any striker on his day and is arguably the most in-form English defender at the current time.

Borja Baston is another player who has taken a while to get going but has looked a lot more of a threat when leading the Swans line - expect a physical duel between him and Shawcross.

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC VS KYLE NAUGHTON

After Xherdan Shari stole the show last week, Arnautovic will be hoping all eyes are on the Swiss.

The Austrian is great at exploiting gaps in the opposition's defence and has a lethal finish on him, so any attention Shaqiri gets as a result of his brace against Hull is good news.

Kyle Naughton is better going forward than he is helping in defence so Monday promises to bring an interesting battle to the Swans' right-hand side.

MODOU BARROW VS ERIK PIETERS

MODOU BARROW

The other man who has been playing on the Swans' right-hand side of late is Modou Barrow.

The Gambian winger is clocking more minutes this time around after impressing in spurts last season and Erik Pieters could be in for a difficult afternoon.

Pieters boasts a decent cross but it's difficult to imagine him getting forward too much, with Barrow and Naughton likely to keep his hands full.

JOE ALLEN VS LEON BRITTON

Joe Allen scores v Man United

Two players who remember each other fondly from their time together will take to the pitch as enemies on Monday.

Both players used to set the tempo in Brendan Rodgers' Swansea midfield but now have slightly different roles.

Britton has become more of a holding player at Swansea in recent years, while Joe Allen now has license to roam forward and had bagged four goals in his last four games.

It is likely that Britton will be the man charged with shackling the Welshman and making sure he doesn't get any chances.
