Sunderland are considering a summer move for Leeds United wideman Charlie Taylor according to Chronicle Live, as Sam Allardyce looks to bolster his squad.
The experienced manager ensured that the Wearside club avoided the drop to The Championship and as such expenditure is expected on the playing squad this summer to make the team more competitive in 2016-17.
Taylor is a product of the fabled Leeds youth academy and has broken into the Elland Road first team.
The former England under-19’s international is versatile enough to play as a left winger or left-back, which would provide options for the Stadium of Light outfit.
The 22-year-old started 39 games for the Yorkshire club in 2015-16, scoring one goal and could well be on his way to the Premier League this summer.
Allardyce will look to make his mark on the squad this summer by bringing in a host of new players and shifting on the dead wood.
