Sunderland v Bournemouth – Confirmed starting XIs

Bournemouth’s impressive 3-0 victory over Norwich last weekend took them to 15th in the Premier League table and three points off the drop zone.

Eddie Howe’s side have real chance of staying up against all the odds this season and have impressive on a number of occasions throughout the season so far.

But their visit to the Stadium of Light this weekend arguably represents the biggest game of their season so far.

Sam Allardyce’s Sunderland will be licking their wounds after collapsing so pathetically at Tottenham last weekend, eventually falling to a 4-1 defeat despite taking the lead.

Allardyce took full responsibility for the defeat afterwards, and he’ll be fully expecting his players to react positively and to close the gap between themselves and fourth from bottom Swansea.

The Black Cats are currently four points from safety but a victory over Bournemouth, who are only six points better off than them, might just be the catalyst they need to spark a survival push.

Here are the confirmed starting XIs for both sides…
