30 points from the last 30 available? Surely not… Well, a Chelsea win would mean just that, with Antonio Conte’s Blues having been simply excellent in recent months.
Their nine-game winning streak has included notable scalps such as Manchester City and Spurs, while they have shown the grit and determination of, dare we say it… champions with hard-fought wins against West Brom and Southampton.
However, they come up against a resurgent Sunderland side at the Stadium of Light this evening. Although facing a team entrenched in the relegation dogfight may seem like the ideal challenge for the Londoners, the Black Cats have shown signs of life of late with nine points from their last five games. To put that into perspective, their total is a mere eleven.

There are some big changes for Sunderland ahead of this one as Fabio Borini and Adnan Januzaj come back into the side. Meanwhile, the big news for Chelsea is that Eden Hazard is not in the squad thanks to an injury so Willian is in to replace him. Elsewhere, Cesc Fabregas is in the XI after some fine showings in recent weeks.
