Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that he will not be looking to former club Espanyol as he attempts to strengthen Southampton. However, the Argentine may be in for Inter Milan’s Philippe Coutinho, who he managed for half a season last year.
Coutinho has also drawn interest from Liverpool this January, with Brendan Rodgers’ side looking to add numbers following Joe Cole and Nuri Sahin’s departures. Coutinho played extremely well for Pochettino’s Espanyol last season and would really add some quality to both the Saints and Liverpool.
With Inter reportedly looking for a fee around £10million, this could be a very good bargain for either Premier League side.
