As of late, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has captured the headlines due to his incredible form and natural ability to find the back of the net. Kane recently demonstrated his class during the London derby in which he scored a brace to help beat Arsenal and claim all three points.
Now, three days later, Tottenham travel to Liverpool in an attempt to continue their winning ways with Harry Kane leading the line. Liverpool is also a team experiencing good form but, unlike Tottenham, Liverpool don’t have an inform goal scorer.
So how do the current Liverpool strikers match up to the prolific Harry Kane?
According to Opta, if one were to compare Harry Kane to Liverpool forwards Fabio Borini, Rickie Lambert, Raheem Sterling and Daniel Sturridge, they would find it difficult to believe. Harry Kane currently has 12 goals in the Premier League, which is currently more than the entire Liverpool strike force (10). Kane’s conversion rate is also a testament to this feat while boasting a 10% higher conversion rate than Liverpool’s Rickie Lambert, who has the highest conversion rate of 17%.
Liverpool will be aware of the incredible goal threat that Harry Kane provides. Liverpool’s loud Kop end as well as astute defending will be needed if they intend to keep Kane quite at Anfield.
