Brad Friedel is the best second choice goalkeeper in the Premier League, currently filling the net for Tottenham during their sucessful Europa League campaign.
The 41-year-old has a wealth of experience, and has been a consistent performer for over ten years, playing for Liverpool, Blackburn, Aston Villa and Spurs.
He’s unlucky not to be in the starting XI at White Hart Lane, having been dropped to the bench to make room for new signing Hugo Lloris, and the American has proved in Europe this season that he still has what it takes to be a Premier League regular.
In an ideal world, Andre Villas-Boas would keep Friedel at White Hart Lane, but his desire for first team football will surely push a summer move. Blackburn Rovers were sniffing around the former USA international in January, however at the end of the season a number of top-flight clubs could be on the pursuit for his signature.
