Tottenham Hotspur fans could be forgiven for raising a few eyebrows at Liverpool’s proposed move for Moroccan forward Mounir El Hamdaoui this summer.
Indeed, his name isn’t one that supporters necessarily crave themselves, nor is he one that they have any particular affinity with. But for those who find themselves scratching their heads for any distant memories El Hamdaoui’s name might provoke, that would probably be because the former-Ajax man did in fact enjoy a short stint in the white half of North London.
