Liverpool FC have brought through the ranks some fantastic youth products in recent years, namely Steven Gerrard, Jamie Carragher and Michael Owen, but supplementing the club's nurtured talent with imported players has often proved a problem. Of course, many of their inward transfers have been incredibly successful - Fernando Torres, Sami Hyypia, Luis Suarez to name a few - but others have ranged from disappointing to completely woeful.

Digging through the history books, we've unearthed the strangest and worst signings that Liverpool have made during the Premier League years, and compiled them into a Top Ten style list for your enjoyment.

Some are poor business acquisitions, others are poor players, a few are a mixture of both, but all of them left the Kop faithful in a state of confusion and bewilderment.
